swissminers.net is a non-profit
organization that represents crypto mining companies and interested
individuals. In 2011, we experimented with mining Bitcoin using
field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs),
followed months later by our first GPU-based mining rig. By late
2013, we upgraded to the Bitmain Antminer S1, the very first ASIC
Bitcoin
miner on the market. To minimize noise and energy costs, we
immersed the devices in food-grade oil. We mainly operate our
mining farms in countries with low energy costs and produce our
own electricity using wind, hydropower, and solar energy.
